Barry M (one of the best drugstore brands for nail, in my opinion) have a new nail polish collection for summer – a range of coconut-infused polishes in a variety of bright and nude shades. I picked up three of these on one of my numerous trips to Superdrug, in the shades Starfish (a pale nude), Tiki Hut (a darker brown) and Aloha (a bright pink).
The brand claims that the polishes offer nailcare benefits, such as a blend of coconut water/oil, vitamins and strengthening and anti-oxidant properties. After taking these off, my nails were not damaged at all, and appeared to be strong and healthy (definitely a plus).
The formula of these is more on the runny side, so you have make sure to shake them up before opening, and to wipe the brush off a bit before applying. I’ve found that two coats is the optimum, and the drying time is around 2 minutes. While not fully chip-resistant without a base or top coat, these are pretty long wearing with a glossy finish and the colours are absolutely gorgeous and universally flattering – perfect for summer.
The polishes retail for £4.99 and are available at Boots and Superdrug now.
