Having a dry skin moment – something I’ve never had to deal with in my 21 years on this planet. This has left me feeling somewhat like Cassandra from Doctor Who, and upon finding that my oil-free anti-blemish moisturiser was no longer cutting it, I set out in search of budget-friendly hydrating alternative. I’m currently using a moisturiser from Simple which is nice and thick, but after stumbling across this article by Sali Hughes in The Guardian hailing the return of a hydrating serum by Superdrug, I went out on a limb and decided to buy it.
The serum was only £2.69 for 50ml (!!!) and comes in a bottle with a pump and a cheery blue cap. The product itself is smooth and unfragranced, and absorbs really well, leaving my skin calm and fresh (so I basically want to drown my face in it 24/7). A little also goes a long way, so I use this after my lavender and rosewater toner and before my Simple moisturiser in the morning for extra hydration and a smooth base for primer and foundation. I highly recommend this for anyone who is looking to boost their skin without breaking the bank.
The Superdrug Simply Pure Hydrating Serum is available online and in Superdrug stores.
